EC can be dissolved in various organic solvents,such as ethanol ,isopropyl alcohol,other alcohols,ketones,aromatic and so on,common solvent(volume ratio):

1) Toluene: Tthanol = 4: 1

2) Ethanol

3) Acetone: Isopropanol = 65:35

4) Toluene: Isopropanol = 4:1

5) Methyl Acetate: Methanol = 85:15

The product is a hite or light grey powder with odourless and tasteless. Soft temperature 135-155°c.

Bulk density: 0.3-0.4g⁄cm³

Ethyl cellulose is a noionic cellulose ether.

7. Fine anti-ageing capability.

8.Good salt-tolerance ad cold-resistant.

9. Stable for cheicals, and not deteriorate for a long time.

10. EC can company with a lot of resin and all plastizer.

 

APPLICATIONS:

 

Pharmaceuticals

EC can be used as film former, binder, dispersing agent, stablizer, water retention agent and controlled release agennt in many kinds of medicin.

 

Coating

EC can make up some printing and coating, the coating films have good glossiness and excellent stickening capability and flexbility.

 

Plastic

EC can make up the plastic powder which is easy to take shape, improve cold-resistant  property and so on.

 

In other industry

EC is used as temporary coating for fluoresent lamp tube,  to raise the viscosity of phosphorand harden the glasses' surface.In additon, it is used in electricity cnductive printing ink which is used in the basement foake in integrated circuit.
